BDC’s Children and Teen Program enforces a mandatory dress code for each age division. We feel strongly in our belief that this will promote discipline and proper classroom etiquette. All hair must be pulled back away from the face. No jewelry is permitted. Any student not in dress code will be asked to observe the class. Exceptions will not be made. Dress code is listed below. Leotard Colors
All girls in Creative Movement, Pre Dance, Ballet/Jazz Combo and Ballet Classes are required to wear appropriate color leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Pre Dance students also need black tap shoes. Hair must be worn in a bun. All Triple Threat, African, Jazz, Modern and Tap students are required to wear appropriate color leotard and black jazz pants. Triple threat and Jazz classes are to wear black jazz shoes- not sneakers. All tap classes are required to wear black Oxford Tap shoes. Modern and African- barefoot. |

| Attendance Policy | ||||||||||
| Consistent Attendance is REQUIRED. In order for your child to progress, attendance is key. Students may miss only if she/he has a valid excuse ( medical issue, family emergency, etc). Allie or Emily must be notified if any absence should occur. No more than 3 absences will be allowed during the dance season or you may be asked to withdraw from the program. 2 days of tardiness will count as a full day’s absence. For their safety, your child will not be able to participate in class if they arrive more than 10 minutes late. They will be asked to observe class and take notes. This will be strictly enforced. There are NO MAKE-UP CLASSES and you will be HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT, even if your child does not attend class. Our program is a 32 week commitment and we feel it should be just that- a commitment. |
